Mission StatementMission Support Aviation

The gospel commission places on every believer the responsibility and inestimable privilege of playing an active roll in taking the healing power of the gospel to a lost world.  This calls for living the Christian life in all its fullness and sharing the blessings of that abundant life in Christ, with all for whom He died in the hope that many will accept Jesus as their personal Savior and join the kingdom of God.  Many of those who need the gospel are in remote locations where it is difficult to travel and maintain a missionary operation. The mission of Mission Support Aviation, is to support the church’s missionary endeavors by providing a communications and air network that enables supportive individuals and groups to hear of mission needs and have the transport and communications support to go with the church’s blessing to share gospel services with those in need and provide a channel for their logistical support while on location.

Objectives

  1. To continue on the valuable “commercial flying dependent” missionary services developed by Adventist Aviation Services PNG, who are refocusing on other aviation services for the church.

  2. Provide safe, reliable, financially sustainable, daily air services around Goroka (then throughout Papua New Guinea and beyond) to support Missionary endeavor and basic service delivery in remote communities. (Currently as of December, 2006 MSA is considering a move to Vanimo because AAS is rapidly getting back on their feet and expanding back into commercial work. Rather than compete we are going to one of the least served regions of the country where it appears God is opening wide the doors of opportunity)

  3. Provide accessible communications services around Goroka (or Vanimo) (then throughout Papua New Guinea and beyond) to facilitate Medical Evacuations, and other Missionary activities and the efficient use of our aircraft in their service to remote communities.

  4. To use our personal and corporate presence to influence the people we come in contact with for Christ.

  5. To use our resources to facilitate the nurture and spiritual growth of people in remote communities.

  6. To give to God the glory for every achievement He grants us and to take every failure and obstacle to Him in prayer until He provides a clear path ahead and the guidance and resources needed to fulfill His will.

  7. To work in Harmony with the church and its administration and Adventist Aviation Services PNG and use our influence and resources to support their soul saving efforts through the aviation and communications services we provide.

  8. To encourage and facilitate mission involvement for church members.

  9. To encourage and inspire Christians and particularly young people with missionary ideals and provide opportunities for them to experience mission involvement and find career opportunities in mission.

  10. To plant this service model in other areas throughout PNG and beyond where it is needed as God blesses and opportunities arise.
